Peace Activist Cindy Sheehan to Visit CSUSM
Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist who camped outside of President Bush's Texas ranch and helped reignite the peace movement, will speak on campus of California State University San Marcos on Thursday, April 17 from 7-9 p.m. in Room 240 of the Arts Building. The event is free and open to the public.
Sheehan will share her experiences after her son, Casey, was killed in Iraq. She'll talk about her move to peace activism, her assessment of the Bush administration's decision to wage war in Iraq, and the role of legislators who have continued funding the war for five years.
Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and an overflow crowd is anticipated. For more information, contact Professor Linda Pershing, Lpershing@csusm.edu.
